Geistflow
A platform for building record-keeping applications that are defined rather than programmed, so the same definitions run offline on Android and online in the browser.

What it is
About Geistflow
Geistflow is a platform for building record-keeping applications that are defined rather than programmed. Schemas, screens, rules, workflows, access policies and integrations are written as definitions and loaded at runtime. The same definition drives an Android handset offline and a browser online, and both reach the same verdict because both run the same engines over it.
Delivered as modules
Applications are delivered as modules. A module is a folder of definitions, with no Java or Kotlin, and a deployment installs as many as it needs, under names it chooses. Modules extend each other: one adds a section to another’s form without either author coordinating with the other, and without the form on disk being edited.
Why definitions
A record-keeping application changes constantly and rarely structurally: a new field, a different threshold, a form that asks one more question. Where those are code, every change is a release. In Geistflow they are data: versioned, signed, reviewable and installable without rebuilding anything.
The cost is that the platform must be strict about what a definition may do. A module is written in five languages by role, each with one job, and every one that executes is sandboxed.
